Главным событием в календаре EAPD в этом году является рабочий семинар по теме «Местная анестезия в детской стоматологии», который проходит в Турине, Италия, с 21 по 22 апреля 2017 года. Это обещает быть отличным мероприятием по теме, которая очень важна нам как детским стоматологам.

The 10th Interim Seminar of the European Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (EAPD) will be held in Turin On 21 and 22 April 2017. EAPD is a European organization of health professionals dedicated to prevention and dental treatment in growing patients. Its primary role is the prevention of any oral disease in children. Italy and particularly Turin are proud to host this important international event that comes back to our country after years: in fact the previously organized EAPD meeting took place in Sassari in 1998.

Interim Seminars are extremely important events to the EAPD as through them opinion leaders in a particular field are invited, and through their expertise and the partecipation of moderators and delegates, guidelines are developed. The theme of the 2017 Interim Seminar will be Local Anaesthesia in Paediatric Dentistry. Friday, April 21, in the morning, some keynote speakers will share their latest research findings, scientific knowledge and expertise concerning local anesthesia in children. In the afternoon other internationally well-known speakers will give lectures particularly focused on the clinical approach to patients. Different aspects will be illustrated to meeting partecipants enabling them to approach this topic from an interdisciplinary perspectives. Saturday morning will be given space to a lecture related to the control of anxiety and fear as patient adherence to treatment is a problem in oral health - particularly in teenagers. At the end of the lecture, a poster presentation session will take place: poster session are very important as they offer further valuable opportunities to listen, learn and discuss various aspects of paediatric dentistry with the presenters and with fellow delegates.

Finally the local anesthesia guidelines developed during the symposium will be illustrated at the end of the morning.
